Privacy Policy
1. Who we are
GAME DAY SOUND (the "App") is published by Solfire Software, a sole proprietorship based in Canada ("we", "us", or "our"). You can contact us at support@solfiresoftware.ca.
2. Information we collect
None. The App does not collect any personal information from you. Specifically:
- We do not require an account or sign-in.
- We do not collect your name, email address, phone number, location, or any other identifier.
- We do not use analytics, crash-reporting or tracking SDKs.
- We do not transmit any usage data to remote servers.
- We do not display advertising.
3. Information stored on your device
The App stores the following on your device only, so it can work at the rink without an internet connection:
- Copies of the audio files you choose to import into the App's library.
- Your playlists, and each song's start and end points, fades and volume.
- Your settings and the current game's progress (which songs have played and where each playlist left off).
This information never leaves your device. Deleting a song in the App removes its copy; uninstalling the App removes everything.
4. Permissions and device access
- Files you choose: when you import songs, the App opens your device's standard file picker. It can only read the files you select there.
- Background audio: the App keeps playing music when the screen locks, and shows the current song on the lock screen. This happens entirely on your device.
- No other access: the App does not request access to your camera, microphone, contacts, location, photos, or any other sensitive resource, and it does not need network access to work.
5. The announcer voice
The goal announcer uses short, pre-recorded voice clips that are included in the App. The voice was generated with an AI text-to-speech service when the App was made; it is not a real person's voice. The jersey numbers you enter are used only to choose which clips to play, on your device, and are not sent anywhere.
6. Children's privacy
The App is suitable for all ages. Because we collect no information from anyone, we collect no information from children. The App complies with the U.S. Children's Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA) and the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) by default through this no-collection design.
7. International users (GDPR, UK GDPR, PIPEDA and similar laws)
Because we do not collect, process, or transfer any personal data, there is no personal data to access, correct, export, restrict, port, or delete. If you have questions about how this policy applies to you in your jurisdiction, please contact us.
8. Third-party services
The App does not integrate with any third-party analytics, advertising, social, or data-broker services. The App is distributed through the Apple App Store and Google Play, which have their own privacy practices for downloads and purchases. 9. Data retention
We retain no data because we collect none. Information you create in the App is kept on your device until you delete it or uninstall the App.
10. Changes to this policy
If a future version of the App adds a feature that collects any information, we will update this policy and clearly tell users before that version ships. The "Last updated" date at the top of this page reflects the most recent revision.
